Devata Upasana: The Sacred Path of Hindu Revival
यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णो यत्र पार्थो धनुर्धरः। तत्र श्रीर्विजयो भूतिर्ध्रुवा नीतिर्मतिर्मम॥
Where there is Krishna, the Lord of Yoga, and where there is Arjuna, the wielder of the bow, there are prosperity, victory, happiness, and sound policy assured. — Bhagavad Gita 18.78

What We Do: The Sacred Practices of Shakti Vriddhi
Since 2024, our movement has undertaken the profound responsibility of reviving the ancient practice of Devata Upasana—not as mere ritual, but as the spiritual backbone of Hindu civilisational resurgence. Our practices are rooted in the timeless wisdom of our ancestors and designed to awaken the dormant divine consciousness within our community.
Bhairava Upasana: Invoking the Protector of Dharma
Every Krishna Paksha Ashtami, we gather in collective worship of Bhairava, the fierce and compassionate guardian deity. Bhairava is not merely a divine form—He is the Kshetra Pala, the eternal protector of sacred geographies, including our beloved Bharat Mata.
The scriptures declare: "भैरवो भैरवी शक्तिर्युग्मं तत्त्वमिदं परम्"—Bhairava and Bhairavi Shakti together represent the supreme principle that governs existence. His divine qualities embody the perfect balance required for our times:
Compassion for Dharma: He nurtures and protects all that upholds cosmic order
Fierce intolerance for Adharma: He destroys without hesitation all that corrupts righteousness
At a Bhairva and Pratyangira temple in KR Puram, Bengaluru, we perform collective japa of the Bhairava Nama Mantra with sankalpa for Dharma—a sacred vow that binds our individual prayers to the greater cause of civilisational renewal since 2023 (led by Shri Anirud Chathanath, Shri Prithwi Raj Raut and Shri Sanjog Karki). Our offerings include Vastram (sacred robes) and Annadanam (prasad distribution), honoring the ancient principle that the divine is pleased through both devotion and service to community.
Ma Durga UPASANA: Invoking the Divine Mother's Power
Our collective Upasana of Ma Durga with Homa (fire ritual) represents the invocation of Shakti herself—the primordial power that manifests through righteous action. As the Devi Mahatmya proclaims: "शक्तिः कृत्स्ना जगत्कर्त्री विष्णोः शक्तिः सनातनी"—Shakti is the eternal power of Vishnu that creates and governs the entire universe.
Through these fire rituals, we offer our individual limitations into the sacred flames, emerging purified and empowered to serve Dharma with unwavering resolve.
Expanding the Sacred Network
Our mission extends beyond individual practice to the gradual expansion of regular offerings at various temples across Bharat. Each temple becomes a shakti peetha—a center of divine energy that radiates spiritual strength throughout the surrounding region, creating an interconnected network of dharmic consciousness.
Why We Do It: The Philosophical Foundation of Divine Revolution

Every Hindu Revolution Was Led by a Devata
History bears witness to an immutable truth: no genuine transformation of Hindu society has ever occurred without divine inspiration and guidance. This is not mere coincidence—it is the fundamental law of dharmic action.
Bal Gangadhar Tilak recognized this when he proclaimed: "स्वराज्य हा माझा जन्मसिद्ध अधिकार आहे" (Swaraj is my birthright). But his political awakening came through his devotion to Lord Ganesha. The Ganeshotsav he initiated was not cultural entertainment—it was a spiritual revolution that used devotion to awaken national consciousness.
Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda drew their transformative power from Ma Kali. The Tantra declares: "काली कालस्य कर्त्री च कलानां भेदिनी सदा"—Kali is the creator of time itself and the one who transcends all limitations. Through Her grace, a simple priest from Dakshineswar created a spiritual movement that awakened India from colonial mental slavery.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established the last great Hindu empire through the blessings of Ma Bhavani. His sword Bhavani Talwar was not merely a weapon—it was consecrated steel infused with divine shakti. The Shivaji Charitra records his words: "या देवीचे आशीर्वाद आहेत, त्यामुळे आम्ही अजिंक्य आहोत" (With this Devi's blessings, we are invincible).
The profound truth emerges: when the divine consciousness descends into human action, even the mundane becomes sacred, and the impossible becomes inevitable.
Devata Sadhana Transforms the Psyche of Citizen and State
The Shaiva Agamas teach us: "देवता प्रकृतिं यान्ति सर्वकार्येषु मानवाः"—Humans naturally align with the divine consciousness they regularly invoke. This is not metaphor—it is practical psychology.
When Bhairava and Ma Durga are consistently propitiated through sincere sadhana, they begin to actively influence the earthly realm through their devotees. This divine influence manifests as Kshatra Bhava—the righteous warrior consciousness that refuses to accept injustice as inevitable.
The transformation is observable:
-
Excuses born of weakness begin to dissolve
-
Fear of standing for truth gives way to fearless action
-
The victim mentality is replaced by the consciousness of dharmic warriors
-
Individual practitioners become centers of positive change in their communities
This is the secret of Hindu resilience through millennia of civilisational challenges. Our ancestors understood that spiritual practice creates psychological strength, which manifests as cultural and political power.
The Presence of Bhairava Signals the Arrival of Shakti
The Rudrayamala Tantra reveals a cosmic principle: "भैरवं दृष्ट्वा शक्तिर्जायते"—Where Bhairava is beheld, Shakti manifests. This is not religious poetry—it is the operational law of dharmic victory.
In the Mahabharata, before the great war, Arjuna performed Durga Puja to invoke the Divine Mother's blessings. Krishna himself advised this worship, knowing that human effort alone, however skillful, cannot overcome adharmic forces without divine intervention.
Similarly, in the Ramayana, Shri Rama performed Chandi Puja before his final battle with Ravana. The Krittivasi Ramayana describes how the ten-headed demon-king's powers were finally neutralized only after Rama invoked Ma Durga's shakti.
The message is clear: victory in dharmic causes is not achieved through human cleverness alone, but through the conscious alignment of human will with divine power. Where this alignment occurs, defeat becomes impossible.
Awakening the Hindu Psyche from Pseudo-Ahimsa
Perhaps the greatest spiritual corruption of our era is the weaponization of Ahimsa against Hindu interests. What masquerades as non-violence today is often spiritual cowardice dressed in moral language.
The Mahabharata's Shanti Parva clarifies: "अहिंसा परमो धर्मः स हिंसा तत्र हिंसकम्"—Non-violence is indeed the highest dharma, but violence against the violent is also dharma. True ahimsa protects the innocent by stopping those who would harm them.
Swami Vivekananda understood this when he thundered: "You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Gita if football develops your muscles and the Gita does not develop your backbone."
The Bhagavad Gita's central teaching emerges from Krishna urging Arjuna to fight when dharma is at stake. The entire scripture would be unnecessary if passive acceptance of adharma were the highest spiritual path.
Devata Upasana reclaims our civilisational Tejas (spiritual radiance) and Veerya (heroic valor). It dissolves the false conditioning that equates surrender to aggression with spiritual advancement. Through divine connection, we rediscover the truth our ancestors knew: righteous strength is sacred, and defending dharma is divine service.

How This Fuels Hindu Revival: The Practical Transformation
Regular Devata Upasana creates a four-fold transformation essential for civilisational resurgence:
Inner Spiritual Strength
The Katha Upanishad declares: "उत्तिष्ठत जाग्रत प्राप्य वरान्निबोधत"—Arise, awake, and realize the highest truth. Through consistent divine communion, practitioners develop unshakeable inner conviction. They become immune to psychological warfare, cultural gaslighting, and the demoralization tactics used against Hindu consciousness.
Cultural Pride and Clarity
Connection with our Devatas naturally awakens pride in our spiritual heritage. Practitioners begin to see through the false narratives that portray Hindu civilization as inferior or regressive. They recognize that our culture produced the world's most sophisticated spiritual technologies and continues to offer humanity's best hope for meaningful existence.
Community Mobilization
Collective worship creates bonds stronger than mere social networking. When individuals gather regularly for dharmic purposes, they naturally begin coordinating for dharmic action in worldly affairs. The temple becomes a strategic center for cultural resistance and positive change.
The Sacred Mathematics of Transformation
The Vishnu Purana teaches: "यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत"—Whenever dharma declines, divine intervention manifests through devoted souls. Our movement understands this cosmic law and works consciously to create the spiritual conditions for dharmic resurgence.
Every mantra chanted with pure intention sends ripples through the collective consciousness. Every offering made in dharmic spirit strengthens the invisible foundation of our civilization. Every gathering of devotees creates a vortex of positive energy that influences far beyond its apparent boundaries.
The Call of Our Times
We stand at a civilisational crossroads. The choice before us is clear: remain spiritually passive and witness the continued erosion of everything our ancestors held sacred, or rediscover the divine power that made Hindu civilization the light of the world.
Shakti Vriddhi is not merely a religious movement—it is a civilisational imperative. Through sincere Devata Upasana, we reclaim our birthright as the spiritual children of the most profound culture humanity has ever produced.

The time for apologetic spirituality is over. The time for dharmic revolution has begun.
Join us. The Devatas are calling.
"धर्मक्षेत्रे कुरुक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः"
In the field of dharma, in the field of action, assembled and ready to fight...
The eternal battle continues. Our spiritual practice is our weapon. Our devotion is our strength. Our victory is assured.
